How to use our simple and free to register service

1 Provide details of your job by completing our simple form on the homepage
Tell us about the job you need doing, where you are and when you want it to start. The more detail the better for example if you require a new boiler it will not generate a strong response if all you detail is 'I need a new boiler'. A better example would be 'I live in a 3 bedroom house and my old combi boiler needs replacing. It is a normal gas boiler and I am looking at either a Worcester or Vaillant boiler and would like at least a 2 year warranty'. It is completely free for you to register a job on our website and will never cost you a penny throughout the process.

2 Get contacted by the Number of tradesmen you have requested.
We then send this job out to all relevant tradesmen in your area, and up to 5 local tradesmen (depending on what you select) interested in quoting on your job will buy this job lead and contact you to arrange a time to visit. It is up to you to specify how many quotes your require and it is very important to only post a job where there is a genuine intention for the work to be carried out. Please do not list a job if you are just toying with the idea of having work carried out.

3 Check Each tradespersons individual feedback
We send you each of the tradesman’s profiles, where you can read about their business and look at the reviews and ratings they’ve received from previous customers. This helps you make a more informed choice. We do ensure that all feedback is genuine and unbiased. As it is the tradesmen carrying out the works responsibility to carry out the work to a high standard, our feedback should only form part of your overall decision making process. If someone has exceptional feedback but you are not happy with their quote then your own instinct should also be factored in. Tradesmen4u cannot accept liability for a tradesmens work

4 Hire the tradesperson that you feel is right for the job.
Once you’ve read through their ratings and received quotes, choose the tradesman that’s right for you. Base your decision on a combination of factors, price, ratings and your own feeling. In certain professions such as electricians or gas engineers it is possible to further check a tradesmens credentials by checking they are authorised by relevant governing bodies such as the Gas Safe register or NAPIT. 

5 Rate Your Tradesman
When the work is complete, rate your tradesman on an overall basis based on Quality, Reliability and Value to share your experience with others in our community. You can rate then between 1 and 5 stars (5 being excellent) and we encourage all customers to give detailed feedback in the comments box as this will be available to future customers. You will always be able to update your rating, at any time in the future.
