A. It is completely free to post your job and ou pay your tradesman directly so we will never ask you for a penny for using our website.
A. At present our job form allows a choice of between 3 and 5 quotes. If you require less i.e only 1 or 2 all you have to do is allocate the job in your account area to the first tradesman who provides you with a quote and we will not distribute your details to anymore trades.
A. No, you're under no obligation to use one of our receommended tradesmen. If you are unhappy with the quotes, service or anything about the trade company then simply do not place the order with them and if you still need help contact us and we will source more trades for you.
A. In the rare and unlikely event of this occuring then we recommend firstly speaking with the tradesman/person involved. If you are still not receiving an adequate response from them then the next step is to leave them some negative feedback on their profile (accessable via your account area). We ask that you consider the reasons for negative feedback and apply it when appropriate. It will of course be seen by future customers. If we receive regular feedback regarding a tradesman that we are unhappy about then they will be removed from our service. We would receommend speaking with a local trading standards officer if you have concerns beyond this.
A. This can happen reasonably often, we naturally have new tradesman joining our service on a daily basis and it may just be that they have only recently joined and thus have yet to be reviewed. Also we often find that when customers have had work carried out that they are happy with, that they simply forget to return to tradesman4u to rate the tradesman. That is why, if you are reading this, we encourage you to rate your tradesman after the work has been completed to help them and other customers in the future. If your tradesman is yet to be reviewed then ask to see testimonials from previous customers or examples of previous work. Also check with trade associations to verify their credentials.
Q. Do you employ the tradespeople on your site or certify their work?
A. We do not employ the tradesmen on our site and we are not linked or affliated to them. It is our aim to be completely impartial. We provide a lead service where we assist homeowners wanting work done and tradespeople looking for work. We do not receive any commissions from the tradesmen for the work they quote to you. They will quote and invoice you independently from tradesman4u.
A. Do not worry too much if you are unsure of perhaps how much your job, maintenance or repair work will cost. Our job posting form allows for a range of estimated prices which you think your job may cost. It is merely a guide for our tradesman and if you are really unsire just select 'Don't know' from the dropdown options.
A. It should only take a minute to post your job using our simple form. We only ask too things which is that all the information you provide is accurate (phonenumbers, email addresses etc) and secondly that in the main description box that you try to give the best description of the job you require doing as possible. A detailed job description is the best way of sourcing the right tradesman for you.
A. Yes - your information is only passed to tradesmen who match your job type whom have choosen to purchase your details. No information ever leaves our site to 3rd parties. We are not linked to any other websites and never sell your job description to anyone other than a registered tradesman4u member. All passwords are scrambled by our server (so even we do not know them) and all forms and accounts areas are managed by an SSL certificate to ensure maximum safety and security of personal data.
